I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Seattle,
with a dual concentration in Adult Psychotherapy and Health Psychology.
My Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, combined with my
doctoral concentration in the Adult population, provided me with the foundation
to work with teens, young adults, older adults, couples, and families.
I have over 10 years of experience working and training in a variety of settings
including inpatient psychiatric units, child and adolescent inpatient units and
outpatient care, school-based therapeutic interventions, community mental
health centers, and substance abuse treatment clinics. I have provided
comprehensive psychological assessments in both inpatient and outpatient
settings for adolescents and adults; additionally, I completed two years of
training in administering cross-cultural neuropsychological assessments for
refugees seeking asylum in the greater Seattle area.
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, addiction, chronic health
challenges, grief and loss, mood and behavior concerns, trauma, PTSD, life
transitions, and relationship conflict. I have worked with issues around cultural
identity and have an understanding of the continuously varying perception of
therapeutic practices and healing, across cultures and age groups. I always look
to you, the expert in your life, to guide me in understanding your experiences and your
understanding of the world.
I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy and believe strongly in tailoring therapy
to an individual’s unique needs within a confidential and supportive environment.
My approach is informed by Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, with the integration of
evidenced-based strategies that are solution-focused and goal-driven. My work is further
influenced by Family Systems Theory, particularly when working with couples and families.
